Welcome to the official, unscripted blog of Evan, Jessica, and Krista.

Recently, we were invited to go with our very good friend Hye Rin to visit South Korea next summer. We’ve all been trying to save our money [though admittedly, we do indulge in frequent stops at the cafes around town *^^*], and as soon as Hye Rin gets her new visa worked out, there will be nothing stopping us.. Unless you count the language barrier.

Somewhere in the midst of all of our excitement [mostly generated by me, Krista, because Jess has been to Korea once before, and Evan’s a world traveler.. ], the three of us decided that we’d like to have at least a little bit of the basics in Hangul down before we go… So, for the past 2-3 months, we’ve been pulling together any and all resources we can find on learning this intricate language.

Needless to say, it hasn’t always been easy. We’re still just beginning, and we have a long way to go.. But I know once we set foot on the country that brought Big Bang, Super Junior, and Boys Before Flowers into our lives [and we can actually understand, if only just a little of what they’re saying ], it will be worth all of the hard work. ^^
